How I Got Into Education: I felt safe in schools and loved the communities that I was part of and witnessed. I wanted to bring that safety and community to others as well.
Hobbies: Triathlons and small charity races, researching genealogy, and all things music
I have been a professional singer and music teacher all of my adult life. I have sung for local musical theaters and churches. Currently, I have a jazz band called "Hopscotch."
I have two grown children who attended Seattle Public Schools and they still live with my husband and me in the Greenwood neighborhood. I love to garden and cook and play with my dog, Molly
I grew up in Atlanta and love getting back there whenever possible to visit my family. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do when I have time off. When I don't have time to travel to different places, I enjoy hiking with Albus Dumbledore, my Golden Doodle. Albus has been certified as a therapy dog, and I try to bring him to school once a week.
I'm one of the resource teachers at Cascadia. This is my 7th year with the district and my 4th year at Cascadia. I work hard to build relationships with both students and families, so please don't hesitate to contact me with your questions.
