Physical Education (PE) Teacher
ksschwenoha@seattleschools.orgPronouns: she/her
Education: BA in Psychology at the University of Puget Sound; MAT with endorsement in Health/Fitness at Seattle Pacific University
How I Got Into Education: My early jobs of babysitting evolved into a teaching position as an instructional assistant in developmental preschool. I found that participating in our student’s learning and problems solving was the most rewarding part of working with kids. After that experience, I decided I wanted to engage with middle school students through sharing my appreciation of health and fitness, and encouraging them to discover hidden strengths and applying known or hidden strengths toward their self-growth.
Hobbies: Anything fitness related, hiking, reading, cooking, discovering all of Seattle’s bakeries, trying different café’s, traveling
Multilingual Teacher
alsgambellur@seattleschools.orgMy name is Annika Sgambelluri and I have been teaching Multilingual Learners in Seattle Public Schools since 2011. I am a native Washingtonian and attended Western Washington University for my undergraduate degree and the University of Washington for my Masters in Teaching. Prior to teaching, I worked in non-profit administration at the UW. I love to travel with my family, including my two kids, and learn about all the amazing cultures in the world. I’ve been to over 25 different countries and four continents. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me planning my next trip, learning Spanish, running around Green Lake, or hiking in our amazing Pacific Northwest mountains.
